To signify that Big Tobacco is committing a crime everyday by killing 1200 Americans, this mock crime scene will expose them for who they really are. Complete with police tape, chalk body outlines and evidence markers, this crime scene should grab anyone's attention, and can even get some participation. Outline people's bodies on the ground with chalk to represent the 1,200 Americans killed every day by Big Tobacco's products. The evidence markers should have shocking tobacco industry facts and statistics printed on them to educate Iowans about what Big Tobacco's products are doing. Onlookers are encouraged to participate in the event and are free to walk through the crime scene to interact with the JEL teens. Signage will also draw people's attention as they wonder exactly what is going on, the signage will reel them in with the cold hard facts.
